Syrian rider Shadi Gharib won the lead in the opening competition of the President's Cup five-star show jumping event, held at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club on Friday evening, under the supervision of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports and the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation. This is the first of six competitions included in this major high-level sporting event, meeting international and world standards in show jumping. It aims to target the elite of show jumpers and riders with the best horses from around the world participating to win its titles and advanced positions. The opening competition of the 15th edition was held to the specifications of two stages, and its course was designed with obstacles reaching 145 cm in height, presenting a significant challenge.
